Happy Birthday my friend

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday... I love taking a sketch and making it as simple as possible, am I the only one who looks at all this fabulous white and gets giddy?   I die cut the butterflies out of some left over faux letterpressed scraps and added a see through window with some vellum.  Next challenge would be to actually mail this card to my friend, in time...    Come join the 365 Cards DT and play along.

Tuesday's Projects

Good morning... do any of you crafty friends have projects you need to do and then sit down and make a bunch of non-related items?  Today's projects fall into that catagory, I'm suppose to be making a 50th birthday card and a dozen book themed cards, funny how none of these projects have anything to do with those commissions.

This any occasion card uses this week's Play Date Cafe colors and the current Make It Monday challenge (use leaf dies to make a flower).  This card is out of my normal box, a) no stamping, b) lots of patterend paper and b) a non-white or kraft card base.  Who knew!

My blog pal Lynn is the guest over at Retro Sketches and I sat down in my messy room with her card for the challenge (which you can spy on my desk-- thanks Lynn for sending it to me) and somehow, despite having all the pieces for a CASEd card, I made a coffee card.  Does that happen to you guys?  Many thanks to Maureen for the blog candy with the fun Verve Better With You set.  And don't you love how my mess is taking over the entire room, ha ha!!!  (And I'm going to add this to the fun WOYWD fun, haven't played along in a long time... not that I've ever been clean, and yes, I'm slightly cheating since I took these photos Tuesday morning, but....).  And one more challenge, there's a new blog called "A Blog Named Hero" and their challenge is to use one of your favorite Hero Arts stamps, seriously if anyone needs any enabling to buy the Classic Fabric background-- do it!  It's great, so versatile and useful.

Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge this week was the perfect sketch to test out my new Die-namics "Let's Toast" set.   I love the bright party scene in this month's Jay Gee's Nook challenge, while I'm switched ballons for banners, I'm sure my wine label and bottle of wine will be well received at this party.  There are more fun goodies in the MFT set that I'm sure will get some love in my crafty room, maybe after I finish the other cards?  Thanks for looking...

Best Ever Birthday and some news

It's not my birthday... but I do have a fun wine label to share.  I've used this month's Artful Delight sketch, taking the layout and creating something outside the box is an extra fun challenge.  Leeanne's goodies offer so many options, I made the label almost exclusively out of the April card kit.  And my exciting news is that I'm going to be joining the Artful Delight Design Team!  Look for my fun crafty creations on Wednesdays starting in June.  In the mean time though you can go leave some love for the other new DT.

Congrats, thanks and wedding photos

This week's Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge is a one layer card.

My friend Jen has a guest challenge up at Club CK, so I had to play along to show my blogging pal support.  Plus, since I have left over May Arts ribbon from the wedding, I figured that'd be a good way to use some of it up.  I really wanted to take a photo of the pine cones hanging off the chairs at the ceremony with this May Arts ribbon, but my bridesmaid duties prevented me from getting the photo opp, so sorry ladies-- it looked great.  And I also used the new challenge over at Do More With Less, "Rock and Roll", fun to try to spruce up the trees with several different ink colors.  I then spritzed the whole sheet in perfect pearls because the wedding had a total blizzard, so I thought my sister would like the shimmery effect.  (She liked this card, but really wants a fat stack of one layer cards that wont require extra postage... but that's not what I was inspired to do this morning).

But since a number of you have been sending your morale support for my crafty agendas for the wedding, here are a few fun photos.  Can you figure out which feet are mine in the snowy boot photo?

And because the fabulous Jen made us beautiful flowers for the wedding I had to share a couple of photos of them in action.

And one last crafty project for the day.  Mr. Ben was so excited that Emily included a little goodie for him from my Do More With Less challenge win, that he wanted to play along with Michelle's Neon challenge at Do More With Less.

Welcome to another 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday.  We're celebrating my sister's wedding this weekend and I made this card for a friend to give to the bride & groom.  (You'd think I'd of made a card for me to give them, but somehow that didn't actually happen!)  Hop along to the rest of the 365 Cards DT projects and see if you're inspired to play along.
