coffee & friends tag, thanks!

Happy Sunday crafty friends.  So I made it through a fair bit of the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop, wow, so many amazing projects... great inspiration for products I already have and a few "humm... I think I need that."  So I'm playing along again...  today's tag uses the Lawn Fawn set Love you Latte set and I just got the cordination dies!  I also used the interlocking background stamp on the MFT tag die.  And of course, three different May Arts ribbons and the Reverse Confetti Be a Barista sentiment.  You can see that I was inspired by the Fusion Card Challenge sketch (sorry no bow ties).

And thanks!  I am always thinking I'll play along with the Paper Smooches Sparks team and then never do.... so thankfully I used the Thanks sentiment on one of the thank you cards I just sent off for a card order.  In addition I used the Altenew flower and the PTI embossing plate and spellbinder dies.  Right-o, off to tackle Mount Laundry at the motel.

for you coffee bag

Happy Friday crafty friends!  So the amazing crew over at Coffee Lovers are hosting a sping bloghop-- it's spring here, but I know that it's not quite spring in other parts of the world...  Well today is also a new Tag You're It Challenge and I made a card, but I wanted to combine both-- coffee and the challenge together.... so hello decorated coffee bag.  My local coffee roasters (and friends) at Caroline's Coffee have these great kraft bags at the local supermarket and I always think of them as a blank canvas just waiting for something fun, I've decorated quite a few bags over the years.  I also bought myself the new PTI Tag Sale Die and while I get that it's suppose to be a luggage tag, I think it'll work for other crafty projects too.  I used Lawn Fawn, Waltzingmouse Stamps and an accent Verve stamp on the project and used two May Arts ribbon.  Craftying tip of the day-- empty the coffee beans from the bag BEFORE you stamp (you should see the back, laughing... sometimes being lazy does not work in your favor).  Can't wait to see more coffee creations and I'd love for some of you to join us at Tag You're It Challenge.

Happiest Birthday Wishes

The latest Tag You're It Challenge is up and MaryBeth has created a beautiful card of your inspiration.  I went for the CAS tag card option for my project, using the same WMS flowers and a PTI sentiment and then using a cover plate for the background and some May Arts ribbon.  We'd love to have you play along.....

Happy Birthday My Friend

Happy birthday my friend...  I CASEd Lynn's card and was inspired by the latest Altenew Challenge "Gold and Glitter", some sparkly glitter tape and gold emobssing powder on my card.  I'm really hoping to finish my card order, I should go pull out my stash and see how many more I need to make.   Simon Says is having an "Anything Goes" challenge and there are a few more hours left in that challenge...

Happy Birthday

Today's the PTI Blog Hop and this month the inspiration was a photo and while I love the colors, I went for a more muted option (it's hard to see the red and pinks behind the vellum sentiment).  I colored the water color paper and then added embossing paste on top with a stencil.  I added the PTI sentiment embossed in gold on vellum and added an arrow to cover an inky oops and some gold sequins.  Since I love posting cards and being my worst critic, I can say that I don't love love this, I think I needed a smaller sentiment for my frame and the arrow is a bit off...  but perhaps I'll doctor it up later today when I finish work?  Or maybe not?  Life seems to be moving in a warp speed at the moment and I'm constantly trying to come up with a realistic balance on what I can and cannot do...

bird tag

I'm not sure about this tag...  I'm playing along with the latest PTI Make It Monday "Anchoring with border dies."  I've used the PTI chevron die, double sided banner die, the MFT snow, plus leaves and Wplus9 Folk Art Florals bird die.  I've added some some water colors, PTI clouds and some May Arts ribbon.  Anyhoo...  posting it, and on to the next project :)

for the happy couple

Happy Sunday!  I don't usually go a week in between card blog posts, and it's not like I've been on vacation or anything this week?  Who knows... (I'm thinking of a lengthy list of other things that I've been up to, but you guys don't want that laundry list).  So-- the wine tag above-- I started it on Monday for this week's PTI Make It Monday challenge, to use cover plates as a stencil.. and then I'm not sure why the tag got lost in my oh-so-clean desk?  I misted the tag first and then used the PTI hexagon cover plate with texture paste (so you can still see through the paste to the mist backgorund).  I added multiple types of May Arts ribbon (metallic velvet, string, sheer with ruffle, my new favorite chevron ribbon and some more burlap).  And my card below is for the Viva La Verve Sketches, I've had this Verve sentiment for awhile and I think this is this first time I've used it?  Okay, back to work over here... for those of you on Instagram, I'm having a bit of a giveaway on the Inn Town Campground's feed, nothing to do with crafting...

Words cannot espresso how much you mean to me... playing along with the latest My Favorite Things sketch challenge with the MFT coffee die and sentiment.  Happy Sunday... if you want to see the fun our little town has up our sleeve, check out my work blog later today for photos from the Mardi Gras parade.

happy birthday to you

One more card for the PTI 8th anniversary fun, this challenge was to use a blue ombre, I went for the background builders set for the background and then used the PTI Everyday Treats frame in white embossing powder, double sided banner die and a SRM sticker sentiment.  Simple, but it works.  Might be a nice birthday card for a guy?  And since I spent part of my Valentine's Day in Lake Tahoe, here's a photo from yesterday that really does a great job of the blue ombre too.  For those of you who aren't familiar with the lake, all of the those rocks should be under water at this time of the year... Mother Nature, please bring us some more winter.

love at first sip tag

Hello and welcome back to another Tag You're It Challenge.  The latest challenge uses Donna's fun card for inspriation, I used the colorful fish and turned them into coffee cups (hum, who's surprised here?).  Check out my fun coffee theme photo from my Instagram account.  To play along with our tag challenge please check out the rest of the DT projects and create something fun.  Happy Friday!
