Paper Smooches SPARKS in awhile, but since I stalk my lovely blogging pal ~amy~'s blog, she reminded me to play along. One of my housekeepers at the Outside Inn is leaving us in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd make a goodbye card with the Paper Smooches Squeaky Clean set. I've used the MFT tag (thanks ~amy~), with some May Arts ribbon, washi tape, an inked up doily (that I stole from work) and a Paper Smooches sentiment. I have to say in the back of my head I was thinking of this card.
Happy Halloween!! For photos of some of the over the top Halloween fun we have in Nevada City, click here. The only bummer is that it's raining....

My train of thought went something like this, "Oh I'll play along with the Hero Arts holiday tag challenge and see if I can incorporate the Viva la Verve sketch into the mix" and in the end there's nothing holiday about this tag... but I did manage to use the Hero Arts newspaper background and a circle from the Stamp Your Story set, while using the Verve coffee cup and coffee word die. I used the Embossing Texture paste with a hexagon stencil, love how you can still see the words through the paste. I added some May Arts ribbon to the bottom of the tag and then tied it off with some May Arts silk. I guess if I were going to go back and do this again I'd opt for a different color tag, but oh well.

Happy Monday crafty peeps, I've got a CAS tag for this week's PTI Make It Monday where Laurie challenges us to do partial stamping on die cuts. I've used one of the flourishes from the PTI Mat Stack series on the joy die cut, and the MFT tree die, PTI Tag and 2 May Arts ribbons.

Last week I played along with the My Favorite Things sketch and won (wooo hooo!), so here's a virtual thanks, I'm sure that $20 gift card will end up costing me $50 with all the things I "need." Simon Says Stamp is having a kraft challenge, with a focus on Hero Arts goodies, so I used my Hero Arts background stamp and cut it into pieces! I've used the MFT tag die with the MFT heart die, plus the PTI thanks sentiment and some May Arts ribbon. To create the background I heat embossed the background with white embossing powder and then layered the squares (some raised and some flat). I used a SRM sticker for the faux stitching to add the vellum to the card.
Below I used the same PTI thanks die, but used some of the MFT tags and snowpiles dies, plus some WMS trees and some more May Arts ribbon. I was inspired by the new Tag Your It Challenge.

Welcome to another PTI Blog Hop, this month is to use non traditional holiday cards and create a project. I've used the PTI hexagon cover plate and some paper scraps, plus PTI tags, sentiment and snowflake dies. It's not often that I make a card without any stamping! I have yet to find the right answer for the question I posted on last month's PTI hop and it's effecting my opinion of one of my favorite companies. Today's hop photo source is a bad link. When I spent extra time digging for the right image I wasn't successful. Have a fabulous Saturday.

Happy happy birthday, inspired by the Altenew October Challenge and the Retro Sketches. Lots going on in my little world, forget that maybe some of my crafty peeps would like an update… Last week the campground we've been in the process of working on was approved for its use permit, read more about it here. My next card making class is Wednesday, November 5th, details here, but if you want to join please let me know by the 3rd. And my photo taking fun has been going a bit over board on my Instagram account, click here. TGIF!

Do you have those days where you blink and 12 hours have gone by? Hello, that was my day today. All those things on my to do list? Some got done, but most didn't. Anyhoo, above is my card for the Verve Diva Dare to use pink (I went with a stylish Verve coffee stamp on Authentique paper with a bit of May Arts ribbon). I forget to use my stash of paper.... And below is my CAS card for the CAS(E) this sketch, to be honest I started it with the past Runway Inspired colors, but the project got lost in my desk and I only got back to it this morning, oops.

So I had a day last week that required a little retail therapy, we all have those right? Thankfully ~amy~ was sharing her My Favorite Things order on Facebook, so I took a cue from my coffee addict crafty friends and ordered some new goodies. So, she challenged me to play along with their current sketch challenge. Something to perk you up your day! Using MFT stamps and tag die, plus Hero Arts newspaper print background and more May Arts ribbon goodies. Happy new week.

So one more entry for the Waltzingmouse Stamps PJ party, I went with the snowflake idea and decorated this SRM glassine bag (love the look when you emboss them). I added some pattered paper, a PTI snowflake and tiny tags and the WMS sentiment embossed in gold and some May Arts ribbon. Life is good... gotta repeat that, having one of those mornings....

Hello-- welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps PJ party… It's been a long day and I started my projects before the sun came up this morning… thankfully had a bit of time this evening to finish what I could. I'm playing alone with the "Old Pajamas" (the Vintage Labels is one on of my first WMS sets), the Storytime Sketch, another Old Pajamas project and finally snowflakes. I've used the PTI Make It Monday gold dipped die cuts on the first and last project too. Thanks for checking them out.
