coffee card

heart coffee... I really should've had another coffee this afternoon, but it didn't happen...  woke up far too early this morning.  But I managed to tick off lots of things in the never ending list.  Today's card was inspired by this week's My Favorite Things sketch using the MFT coffee die, some fabulous new paper I just happened to buy today (Pebbles Happy Day), an upcycled of PTI packaging and some Twinery twine.  Happy Thanksgiving Eve my friends... hope your day tomorrow is filled with food and family.

And a raise glimpse of my normal chaos... due to my early wake up time I somehow motivated to tackle the piles...

joy tag

One more quick tag to play along with the PTI blog hop, "think snow", and why not think a snowflake dipped in gold embossing powder?  I'm also loosing using the CAS(E) this sketch!  I'm tired... off to sit on the couch....

sending Christmas Cheer pillowbox

This month's PTI Blog Hop is all about snow...  and I've decorated a pillowbox.  I used this week's Make It Monday (background plaid stamping), but had fun using embossing powder... and added a sparkly snowflake die cut to the little label (I started with the PTI notebook die and then chopped off part of it).  It's hard to tell but I also have white embossed snowflakes and some embossing paste, plus a vellum snowflake and 2 Mary Arts ribbon and some white picket fence distress stain.  A lot going on for a little gift.  And, for my regular crafty blog followers-- I'd like to make note of what time I'm joining this party-- fashionably late :)  Trying to work on unrealistic expectations over here and feeling slightly under the weather, so I did not need to have a hop project posted at 6:59am, be proud!

Sending Christmas Cheer tag

Happy Monday, playing along with this week's PTI Make It Monday Stamping a plaid Background.  I  am a creature of habit, crave routine.  And normally every Monday morning I go to the gym, come home, play along with the challenge, frantically rush out the door to work.  Last week the challenge wasn't up, throwing a loop in my agenda.  This week, I can't go to the gym b/c of childcare logistics...  what is a girl to do?  Well at least I'm still making time for being crafty...    And obviously I like making tags, click here for my Pinterest board.

Happy Thanksgiving wine tag

Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm confident you guys will see more of the PTI Uncorked set.  Today's wine tag is for the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge "Thanksgiving".  I went and did a bunch of really difficult research yesterday trying to try new wines to figure out which would go best with Thanksgiving, click here to see what I learned.

more tags

I keep making tags...   today's crafty projects are from a variety of sources of inspiration.

This Thanks tag is inspired by the new Tag You're It Challenge.  I've used a WMS flower from my stash, the new Thanks die cut from PTI, some pattered paper from DCWV, a Lawn Fawn leaf die out of a scrap of Coredianations, PTI burlap string and embossing paste for the chevrons.

This tag was inspired by Tracey's 25 tags of Christmas, love the look of the embossing onto the patterned paper (I used the Simon Says falling stars die as my stencil).  I've used a the Lawn Fawn stamp and die, plus some My Favorite Things snow die cuts out of vellum, May Arts ribbon and patterned paper from my stash.

And this tag was my first attempt at the one above, when I realized I needed to stamp and the use the embossing paste.  But I was inspired the tags over at Ellen Hutson's classroom tag this morning and added some long neglected Vintage Market number tape behind the die cut.  So I'm playing along with the Lawncaping "count me in" challenge.   The only bad thing to making so many tags lately is that I have to decide which tags we're going to make in my upcoming card making class, I have way too many ideas....

cheers happy holidays

No one is going to be surprised to hear that I broke down after months of good behavior and ordered the new PTI wine set...  I used the CAS(E) this sketch and my inspiration.  TGIF!

musical star gift tag

Happy Thursday crafty friends, inspired by the latest Fusion challenge.  I love the sparkly silver on the inspriational photo, but when I went digging I found a fun pad of sparkly paper (but I'd used all the silver- imagine that), so I went a brozed paper, die cut with the Lawn Fawn tag and samped with the Lawn Fawn border.  I added the PTI star tag and stamped the musical notes, added a piece of cork with the PTI double sided banner and added the Lawn Fawn to stmap.  To finish off the tag I used a circle punch on the vellum and tied it up with 3 different May Arts ribbons.  I'm so enjoying Tracey's 25 days of Christmas tags, she has given me way more inspiration then I need for my upcoming holiday tag class, now I need to narrow down my choices...

Just saying hello Altenew November challenge style...  Trying to do too many things at once over here....  nice to take a pause and share a crafty card (which has nothing to do with work).  But on that note, over and out.

let is snow

So... my normally Monday morning is to play along with the PTI Make It Monday, but guess what-- the challenge isn't up yet... so what's a challenge happy girl to do?  Make a tag!  Part of my inspiration is from last week's May Arts/Core inspiration week, so I had this Coredinations red tag and I added some embossing paste, some PTI snowflakes and snow die cut (with silver embossing powder) and added a Lawn Fawn snowman (I heat embossed the snowman onto a piece of vellum that has the Hero Arts friendship background digital stamp).  I added some MFT vellum snow die cuts and added one of my favorite holiday ribbons, the May Arts 2 1/2 inch printed cotton blend and a bow with burlap string.  I've really been enjoying Tracey's 25 Tags of Christmas.  I'll add this to Virginia's View since I used silver embossing powder for her "All Things Metallic".
